So on our way out we stopped back at the ranger station where Erin reviewed her booklet with one of the rangers. They talked about the things she saw and did and then swore her in as a Junior Park Ranger!!
By the time we left the park Chad, Grey and Erin had all cut their legs open. Used up all my bandaids and most of Mimi's Neosporin. But we survived and it was a ton of fun!
Here are a few photos from my phone of dinner and shopping one night:
So here are the first photos from Arches National Park. We drove down to Moab on Sunday and first thing Monday morning we went out to the Ranger Station. Erin signed up to become a Junior Ranger. In order to earn her ranger badge she had to fill out a booklet and complete a few tasks around the park (like picking up trash and finding animal tracks, etc.). Enjoy!
We dressed for the 74 degree temperature not quite thinking about how cool it would be at the start. Hence the oversized jackets and shorts.
We took the longest hike of the day first thing that morning at the site furthest into the park. That way, as we got tired we'd be closer to the exit and it would be less crowded.
We ruined several pair of socks with the red dirt.
