Swimming Lessons

We attended swimming lessons at the Brigham City Pool this year. We met at 8:45 every morning for two weeks. The kids loved it!

After each lesson they have 10 minutes to play. They went down the slides, dove for weighted rings and just messed around.

Walking of a Sunday

We went out this afternoon to the paths around the Ogden Botanical Gardens.

We wondered off the paved path to get closer to the river that the path follows.

Chad had brought the "perfect skipping rock" that he had saved from his last walk.

We got back on the regular path and continued on!

About a quarter mile on we passed a playground and had to stop and play.

There was a suprising amount of art along the way...in the tunnel, on the back of buildings and on light poles. We stopped on the way back to rest a bit. It was a really good way to spend the afternoon.

The kids weren't thrilled to walk for a mile and a half but it just means we need to go more often.  ;)

Moving On...

A few weeks ago we helped Chad move his office...again. It seems like we do this once a year so it's almost a family tradition. Thankfully he'd already moved his stuff, it was just a matter of setting it up.

Erin and Lance found a sheet of stickers and decided to promote themselves to head supreme commander general in charge of each other.

My stitchery adds a homey touch to the walls.

Grey took Chad's phone and hid himself away to watch videos.

Now we all know who is really in charge. (As if you doubted it...)

the Nucor Picnic 2012

Chad arrived home (from a four day trip to Canada) just in time for us to attend the annual Nucor Company Picnic. It is one of our favorite events of the year. Nucor is such an awesome company to work for and be apart of.

We even ran into some old friends!!

And of course we got our faces painted. Erin was a pink tiger/kitty.

Grey was a dinosaur/demon thingy...

Lance was a cyborg!

It's a good thing we finished face painting when we did. The wind started GUSTING!! I was holding one of the legs of the face painters tent to keep it from blowing away!

They took down the bouncy houses and we were one of the last people to get snow cones before their tent blew down too. We had a great BBQ dinner and the kids had an hour and a half to play.

One of the bouncy houses making a break for it!!

Lance and Chad making a break for it!! The wind was blowing so hard you had to lean forward when you walked! It was a short picnic but alot of fun too!!

the 4th of July

There is no time I feel more apart of the community here in Brigham than on the 4th of July. Everybody from Brigham and the surrounding towns gather at the park. There are blankets, picnics, snacks, games and music. And the fireworks!!

We played cards in the shade until the baseball game was over and then we moved onto the field for the best view of the pyrotechnics!

Chad was too cool for school. He was worried that his cream soda would be mistaken for a beer. ;)

Grey read for a bit on my phone.

Our RIDICULOUS view.

Playing the hand slap game...the boys were vicious!

Getting comfy and cozy for the show. It cools down once the sun sets.

Happy 4th!!
